Recap: Magento Meetup in Chennai and Madurai – Post-Event Insights

Klizer recently organized Magento Meetups in Chennai and Madurai on February 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM IST. These gatherings brought commerce specialists together, and brands to build connections and share knowledge within the Magento community.

As DCKAP shifted focus in 2022 to simplify commerce for distributors, Klizer’s commitment to community building became evident. The return of Magento Meetups post-pandemic showcased the resilience and enthusiasm of the community.

The Madurai Magento Meetup, organized by Klizer and powered by DCKAP, exemplified collaboration, learning, and progress. These efforts aim to strengthen the Magento community and provide a platform for learning from shared experiences.

Building Connections and Some Amazing Numbers

The meetups in Madurai and Chennai have seen an impressive restart with over 23 attendees in Madurai and over 20 attendees in Chennai. After an extended break, these figures mark a promising return to our meetup journey.

Topics Covered at Meet Magento Madurai

1. Adobe Commerce Cloud and CLI Commands 

Mohamed Abbas, a Technical Architect at Hikmadh Commerce, gave a webinar on Adobe Commerce Cloud and CLI Commands. Attendees learned about the purpose and significance of Adobe Commerce Cloud CLI for efficient Magento deployments, along with a step-by-step guide on installing and using the Magento-cloud CLI tool. 

He also shared his insights on basic cloud CLI commands, integration with Git hosts, creating environment branches, securely connecting to remote environments via SSH tunnel, and exporting media folders for local development.

2. Understanding GraphQL and PWA Themes

Prabhakaran R, a Software Developer, gave a webinar on Understanding GraphQL and PWA Themes. Attendees got to know the fundamentals of GraphQL API, its advantages over REST, and when to use each approach. Prabhakaran also showed the use of GraphQL Client (Altair browser extension) for querying and testing and delves into GraphQL query and mutation for efficient APIs. 

Discussions cover Magento recommendations for resolver implementation, Magento upward middleware for PWA themes, and the pros and cons of Magento PWA Studio. Attendees learned more about available Magento PWA themes, including custom theme creation using modern JavaScript frameworks and the new Vue Storefront 2 with GraphQL for Magento.

3. Enhancing Adobe Commerce with New Relic

Muhammed Salim, a Senior Magento Developer, gave an insightful session on enhancing Adobe Commerce with the new relic. He covered various aspects of New Relic APM for real-time performance insights, centralized log management with New Relic Logs, proactive monitoring through New Relic Alerts & AI, tailored observation capabilities for Adobe Commerce, and the role of Synthetic Monitoring in simulating user interactions. 

Attendees discussed practically implementing New Relic, integrating it with other technologies, and exploring alternatives. They emphasized its versatility and strong recommendation by Adobe Commerce.

4. Streamlining Adobe Commerce Cloud Management with CLI Operations

Divya Sree R, a Senior Software Developer, shared valuable insights in her session titled Streamlining Adobe Commerce Cloud Management with CLI Operations. She covered crucial topics such as understanding Cloud infrastructure, utilizing CLI tools, administering user accounts, leveraging the ECE Tool Package, and optimizing management processes. Attendees gained practical knowledge to simplify their Adobe Commerce Cloud management effectively.
